Enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards
Decisions of courts of foreign states, taken by them in disputes and other matters arising in the exercise of entrepreneurial and other economic activities (foreign courts), decisions of arbitration courts and international commercial arbitration, taken by them in the territories of foreign states on disputes and other matters arising in the exercise of entrepreneurial and other economic activities (foreign arbitral awards) are recognized and enforced in the Russian Federation by arbitration courts, if the recognition and enforcement of such decisions is provided for by an international treaty of the Russian Federation and federal law.
The issues of recognition and enforcement of a decision of a foreign court and a foreign arbitral award are resolved by the arbitral tribunal at the request of the party to the dispute considered by the foreign court or the party to the arbitral proceedings.
